Wesley Robert Kratzer passed away on July 18, 2018 at the age of 22, Wesley was born to Kathryn McGowan and Tay Kratzer on February 7, 1996 in Orem, Utah.
Wesley was an embodiment of love and service. Wesley is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wesley served an LDS mission in the Honduras Comayaguela Mission. Right after his mission Wesley met the love of his life Diana. After 10 months of dating they were engaged to be married. Wesley & Diana were married on February 2, 2018.
Wesley was ambitious and hard-working. He was very attentive in all of his relationships, particularly with his wife Diana. Wesley has often been compared to “water” in that he would not contend, and he would figure out a way around conflict. He was very astute at how to maintain interpersonal relationships. He had tremendous “emotional intelligence”, and a deep desire to help those who were less fortunate.
A Russian proverb says: “A sweet calf suckles two mothers”. Wesley was an overachiever in his personal relationships and he had three mothers. His biological mother Kathryn McGowan, his step-mother Irina Kratzer, and his best friend (CJ)’s mother Shari Kemp.
Wesley is survived by his wife Diana Kratzer and his parents: Kathryn McGowan, Tay & Irina Kratzer. Wesley’s step-father Deven Nichols preceded him in death.
Wesley’s surviving siblings are: Anastasia Bertola, Lindy Kratzer, Dallin Kratzer, John Kratzer, Zephaniah Na’oupu, Jessica Kratzer, Elijah Kratzer, Teienna Nichols and Tayler Nichols.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 21st from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the LDS Orem, Geneva Heights Stake Center 546 North 500 West, Orem, UT 84057. The funeral will be held right after the viewing at 11:00 AM. Wesley will be buried at the Orem City Cemetery immediately after the funeral services.
