W. Wagstaff

Our beloved brother William Todd Wagstaff passed away peacefully at his home from natural causes in Salt Lake City on February 9, 2016. He was the eldest of five children and was born May 14, 1949 in Provo, Utah to Bert and Betty Wagstaff who have preceded him in death. He graduated from Southern State College, now SUU, in 1976. He enjoyed playing all of his guitars but his life was the Marine Corp serving his country for 21 years. While in the Marines he served as a reporter and photographer for Stars and Stripes, he later served as a news anchor and photographer. He was stationed in Vietnam, Okinawa, Japan, California, New York and Washington D. C. including the Pentagon. Todd was a proud Vietnam veteran. Todd's other hobbies included hiking, biking, photography and reading. He is survived by his siblings, Taunya Stevens (Phil) Tooele, Stephanie Johnson (Bart) Salt Lake City, Heidi Makowski (Ed) Salt Lake City, Troy Wagstaff (Colette) American Fork, nine nieces and eight nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Orem City Cemetery. Military rights will be provided by American Legion Post 72.
