On Sunday February 22, 2015 the angels came to take our angelic mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother Violet Provost Sabey home to her Heavenly Father. She was born November 24, 1918 to Luke Elisha and Clarissa Bronson Provost in Midway, Utah. She was raised in Midway and graduated from Wasatch high school in Heber City, Utah. On August 29, 1946, she married Stanley D. Sabey. Together they had one son Ellis LaMar Sabey. Stanley later adopted her two children by a previous marriage, Dixie Jolene Sabey Elmer and Dennis A. Sabey. They had a home in Orem, recreation property in Salina and St. George. Violet had many lifetime hobbies, camping, cooking pies, any kind of crafts, gardening, and crocheting. Violet is a wonderful example of "love thy neighbor" and is the truest example of how to develop courage by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity. She is survived by her son Dennis (Margaret) Sabey, daughter-in-law Vicki Sabey (Ellis deceased), and four grandchildren Danny Elmer, Heath Sabey, Tauna Sabey Hing, and Nikki Sabey Nielsen. She has 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren with one on the way. Preceded in death by her husband, daughter Dixie and son Ellis, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home at 495 South State Street in Orem. Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Midway City Cemetery. Thank you to the nursing staff and others at Orchard Park for their care and ultimate compassion toward Violet for over 10 years.
