Vickie Sisneros, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away at the age of 52. Vickie was born November 8, 1967 in Provo, Utah to Dorene Peterson and Victor Sisneros.
She graduated from Orem High School. Vickie’s love for all things mechanical (trucks, motorcycles, tools and later computers) led her to a career field that she loved. She received an associate’s degree from Utah Valley Community College in electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in information technology. Additionally, she held multiple certifications in network engineering. Vickie was a highly recognized network engineer for several technology companies including Novell, Intel, Network D and Henry Schein.
Vickie had the biggest heart and made everyone around her feel loved and valued. She was the most genuine person with a gentle spirit. She was quick to offer help to anyone in need. All were welcomed at her home. Being outdoors was important to Vickie. She spent most summers camping, fishing and boating. Vickie loved music. She was always up for a great concert. Vickie’s spirit was filled with adventure. She traveled the world and was intrigued by other cultures. Vickie was the life of the party. Her spontaneity, teasing, joking and love of life made all gatherings memorable. There was always a special place in her heart for her pets. Most recently, she could be seen cruising around on her electric bike with her little dog, Ranger.
Vickie is survived by her son, Elias McDaniel of Orem, her mother Dorene Jones of Orem, her father Victor (Lesa) Sisneros of St. George, her brothers Chris Sisneros of Price, Jason (Tasha) Sisneros of St. George, Michael (Leslie) Vercimak of Payson, her sister Michele Vercimak of Sahuarita, Arizona and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Vickie is preceded in death by her grandparents Victor and Yvonne Sisneros, Duglus and Dorothy Peterson and her brother Mark Sisneros.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 10, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at The Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street in Orem. Visitation will be held on Monday just prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary.
