Vickie Palmer

Vckie Lee Bullock Palmer was born April 9, 1944 to Gale Virgil Bullock and Maxine Loveless in American Fork, UT. On January 5, 2016, Vickie passed away peacefully in her home after a battle with Alzheimer's. Vickie married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion, James Healy Palmer, on July 18, 1963 in the Manti, UT temple. They enjoyed fifty-two happy years of marriage. Vickie had a great love of learning and education which led her to pursue college courses up until the time she was diagnosed. She was most passionate about gardening, making flower arrangements, and genealogy. Vickie lovingly raised her family of nine children in Orem, UT. She showed unconditional love for each of her children. Vickie served in many callings within the LDS church, she especially enjoyed Family History. Vickie is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Dean Ryan Bullock, son-in-law Patrick Jenkins, and son Michael Virgil Palmer. She is survived by her sweetheart, Jim Palmer, and four younger sisters; Gayleen (Doug-deceased) Carlton, Jill (Geoff-deceased) Lighten, Wendy (Roger) Castle, and Robin (Gary) Isham, and sister-in-law Kris Bullock (Dean). She is also survived by her children: Todd (Paula), Heidi (Pat-deceased) Jenkins, Ben (Tonya), Beth (Brett) Young, Sam (Deana), Andy (Natalee), David (Andrea), Deanne Palmer (Geovanny Mendez), and daughter-in-law Naomi Bowers (Mike-deceased). Vickie is grandmother to thirty and great-grandmother to five. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 p. m. at the LDS Stake Center, 450 South 100 West, Orem, Utah with a viewing from 11AM-12:30PM. A viewing will be held at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, UT between 6-8PM. on Friday, January 8, 2016. Special thanks to the Maple Creek Hospice and Vickie's daily caregivers: Gayleen Carlton, Jill Lighten, Paula and Deanne Palmer, Doug and Danielle Raddatz.
