On the 12th of Sept, 2024 Takimahu Taoho passed away from stomach cancer. He was born in Huntley New Zealand on Nov 12th, 1957 to Maata Wirahiko and TeOrtinga Johnson Taoho. He was very proud to be a "kiwi".
Taki spent his first 30 years of his life in New Zealand and it was there he met and married his first wife Frances Smith Taoho. They later moved to Hawaii and while there Taki met with the missionaries and was baptized in the Ocean along the shores of Laie and became a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints.
In 1995, they decided to move to Utah to raise their family. Taki found a job at the Utah State Hospital and worked there until he retired.
It was while he was working at the Utah State hospital his first wife passed away and he met and married Gaylene Palmer Taoho who he has been with for the last 10 years.
When Taki discovered he had cancer he took all the family, kids, and grandkids to New Zealand and Australia for a month. It was a trip we will all remember fondly.
Taki is survived by his 2 sons and their wives. Taki Joe and Ethline. Nolan and Shawnee. Along with their seven beautiful grandkids who are the light of his life. Also, an entire family in New Zealand and Australia that he loved dearly.
