Stephen Bernd Moser, 82, of Orem, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020. He was born Bernd Stephan Jost on April 28, 1938, in Leipzig, Germany to Elfriede Jost and later on December 19, 1946, was adopted by Arthur Richard and Maria Theresia Moser. He married Marjean Sommers on November 19, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Steve worked in the movie theater business for over 25 years and later used his Journalism degree from the University of Denver to transition to a career in public relations with Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. He enjoyed classic musicals from the Golden Age of Hollywood and being with his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including the office of Seventy at the Stake level.
Steve is survived by his three children: Steve (Rhonda) Moser of Boise, Idaho; Greg (Linda) Moser of Orem, Utah; Julie (Toby) Mabey of Riverton, Utah; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his adoptive half-sister Elli Gunter.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 11 a.m. in The Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home located at 495 South State Street in Orem. A viewing for friends and family will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the same location. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
