Shirlene Butler Boswell Poulson passed away peacefully on November 30, 2014 in Orem, Utah. She was born September 21, 1935 to Noal and Ulala Butler in Spring Lake, Utah, the third of four children, Nola Rae Olson (deceased), Dawna Stewart, and Ronald Butler (deceased). She married Robert Gary Boswell of Goshen, Utah on January 25, 1951 and together they had six children, Chris (Ruth) Boswell, Katina (Ken) Idle, Clint (Kelly) Boswell, Kevin (Michelle) Boswell, Craig (Tena) Boswell, and Kim (Amy) Boswell. She married Stephan Don Poulson of Salt Lake City on December 10, 1983. Shirlene loved her pets, reading, painting, gardening, decorating, organizing and participating in senior functions, and serving as a Pink Lady at the Payson Hospital. She was always eager to volunteer time and talents to others. Most of all, she loved being a mother to her six children, grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. She never forgot a birthday and looked forward to Christmas 364 days a year. Shirlene's family is grateful to IHC Hospice and Canyon Breeze Senior Living whose compassionate care allowed them to be at her side in the hours and days before her passing. She is survived by her sister Dawna Stewart and all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Noal and Ulala Butler, sister Nola Rae Olsen, brother Ronald Butler, husband Gary Boswell, and husband Stephan Poulson. A visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Sunberg Olpin Mortuary, 495 S State St, Orem Utah.
