Shari Wilson

Shari Lee Flygare Wilson, age 47, of Midvale passed away Thursday November 17th, 2016. She was born March 7, 1969 in Provo, Utah to John Kay and Shari Flygare. She married Mike Wilson on May 20th, 1998.

Shari excelled as an athlete growing up. She lettered in Volleyball and Basketball at Mt. View High School in Orem and received a scholarship and played basketball at Western Wyoming College. She was an avid golfer and played in many tournaments with her husband Mike. Shari also had a huge heart and love for animals.  At a very young age, her passion for animals was obvious as many stray cats and dogs found a home with her. For many years she has fostered dogs by nurturing and caring for them before finding them homes. Shari will always be remembered for her love, strength and determination.  She is an example to us all.

Shari is survived by Mike Wilson (husband) of Vernal; John Kay Flygare (Father) and Shari Cook Flygare (Mother) of Orem; Mike (Stephanie) Flygare of Provo; Kerrie (Jim) Jenson of Highland; Matt (DeAnne) Flygare of Queen Creak Arizona; Troy (Nicki) Flygare of Orem; Teresa Flygare of Orem; Katie (Justin) Layne of American Fork; Brittany (Cody) Gifford of Eudora, Kansas; John Flygare (Grandfather) of Orem; Michael Wilson (Step-son); 2 grandchildren. Two Grandmothers and 1 Grandfather preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aspen 8th Ward Chapel. The address is 1485 N 800 W in Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held that morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial, 4800 N 650 E, Provo, Utah.

We want to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Beck and Dr. Boltax and their nursing staff at Huntsman Cancer Center. We also appreciate the love and support that has been provided by CNS Hospice group, especially Nurses Tina, Tammy, and Ashley.  Flowers may be sent to the church at 1485 North 800 West, Orem.
