Ruth Ann (Harker) Harward, 72, died peacefully Tuesday the 14th of March 2017 at her home in Vineyard, Utah, surrounded by family and dear friends.
Born on October 31, 1944, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Alfred Henry Harker and Ruth Evans Harker, Ruth Ann moved to Salt Lake City where she graduated from South High School in 1962. She met and married her sweetheart Richard Glenn Harward in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 2,1964.
Ruth Ann and her husband started in Salt Lake City and lived in Denver for a short time finally settling in Garden Grove, California, for over a decade to raise their family. Later, they moved to the Seattle area where Ruth Ann worked in the Seattle Washington Temple for many years. Upon retiring they moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to family. Her final three years were spent in Vineyard, Utah, and her greatest joy was family.
Ruth Ann taught calligraphy and enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting and held many church positions. She will be most remembered as an angel to all who knew her. She had a gracious love of everyone around her and had wonder woman like qualities, which made her family who they are today.
She is survived by her husband Richard Glenn Harward, her children: Lisa Ann Stewart, Carrie Lynn Luebke, Becky Jane Lee, Neil Richard Harward, Laura Naoma Rhoades and Matthew Collier Harward, 23 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Vineyard Stake Center on 422 East 400 South in Vineyard, Utah, with a viewing preceding at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Sugar City Cemetery in Sugar City, Idaho
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LDS Church Humanitarian Fund. Condolences for the family may be left on this site.
