Ruth Caroline Grelland Grierson McCulloch, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2015 while visiting family in Eagle, Idaho. She was born on October 20, 1931 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where she lived until moving to Vancouver, B.C. in her teens. There she married William Bowie Grierson and had 5 children. After raising her family she was employed by the Burnaby RCMP and the Burnaby City Hall. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ruth shared her great love of music with family and friends. On many nights she still played piano for the residents of the retirement home where she lived. Many of her happiest times were spent with family near, laughing, singing, and playing games. Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, William Grierson and Robert McCulloch; a daughter, Linda Campbell; her sister Arlene Wardrop and brother, Richard Grelland. She is survived by her sister, Joan Purdum; a daughter, Deborah (Hoopes); sons, Lorne, Mark, and David; as well as 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00am at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State Street, Orem, Utah. A memorial service will be held at the Burnaby LDS chapel in Burnaby, B.C. on February 21, 2015, time to be determined.
