Ronald Millett

April 5, 1928 — June 22, 2019

Ronald A. Millett, 91, lately of Orem, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019. He was born April 5, 1928 in Woodrow, Utah to Archie Calvin Millett and Mary Isabelle Asay. He married Joyce Darlene Rasmussen on September 26, 1949 in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2007. He married Mona Allred Lunceford on August 12, 2014.

Ron served a mission for the Church to the New England States Mission from 1947 to 1949. Over his life, he served in various Church callings, including High Priest Group Leader, Stake High Councilor, Bishop, and Provo Temple worker. His great, great grandfather, Artemus Millett, oversaw the construction of the Kirtland Temple. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He loved to work in his garden and do family history work.  He was a jack-of-all-trades and could build or fix just about anything. He loved BYU sports and had season tickets to football and basketball games for many years.

The most important thing in life to Ron was family. He was close to his two sisters, Voneta and Nina, and his three brothers, Archie, Merrill, and Larry, all of whom preceded him in death. He had a special bond with his daughter, Rhonda and doted on his five grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Ron is survived by his daughter Rhonda Millett (Gary) Williams of College Station, Texas; five grandchildren, Julie (Joshua) Dyal of Canton, Michigan;  Kristen (Aaron) Buhler of Frisco, Texas; Kimberly (Tyler) Brown of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Gary Millett Williams of Provo, Utah; and Erin (Spencer) Empey of Stansbury Park, Utah; and 18 great grandchildren.
