Rick R. Atkin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 28, 1954, in Provo, Utah, he was the son of George and Hazel (Boren) Atkin. Rick graduated from Provo High School, Class of 1973, boy was he proud to be a bulldog, and soon after he embarked on a life of hard work and passion. He worked alongside his father and brothers in the family business, Atkin Roofing, where he honed his skills and contributed to the family's legacy. On October 21, 1982, Rick married the love of his life, Sylvia Atkin. Their union was filled with devotion and partnership, creating a strong and loving family. Together, they raised their children and shared countless memories, until Sylvia's passing, which left a void in Rick's heart. Outside of his dedication to work and family, Rick had a passion for trains and classic cars. He could often be found at local car shows on weekends, proudly showcasing his 1965 Oldsmobile 442. His excitement for these hobbies reflected his zest for life and the joy he took in sharing his interests with others.
