Richard Bartholomew

Richard Dale Bartholomew, 78 of Orem, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021. He was born September 24, 1942 in Winnemucca, Nevada to A. Dale Bartholomew and Wilberta Annette Bartholomew.  He married Mary Lou Provost on December 5, 1963 in Orem Utah.

Richard was an avid outdoor sportsman.  He loved to be in the mountains.  He served in the US Army after high school, where he held the record for best marksman for years.  After he left the Army he worked for Geneva Steel where he worked in the blast furnaces for central maintenance as a pipe-fitter.

Richard is survived by his wife Mary Lou Bartholomew and his three children, Jamie (Brian) Belliston of Lindon, Utah; Josh (Amanda) Bartholomew of Orem, Utah; Zakary (Kolbie) Bartholomew of Orem, Utah, 7 Grandchildren, and 1 great grand-grandchild on his way.

Graveside service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Orem Cemetery with Military rights.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Sundberg Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State in Orem.
