Paul Taylor Johnson, 86, of Orem, Utah passed away in his home on February 4th 2019. The Funeral Services will be as held Saturday February 9th at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 730 East 400 South Orem, Utah 84097 with Randall Bills officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery 4800 N 650 Provo Utah. A viewing will be held Friday, February 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary 495 State Street, Orem, Utah and again on Saturday, February 9th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church prior to funeral services.
Paul was born in Springville, Utah to Oliver David Johnson and Lydia Taylor Johnson on July 13th 1932. While he was growing up he was Baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his family lived in Springville and Provo until finally settling in Orem, Utah. As a young man he traveled to Butte, Montana to secure work in the Anaconda Copper Mine. While there he was Drafted into the Korean War and served in the Military Branch of the Army with the 40th Signal Co APO 6 in combat on the front lines and was awarded a Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, a United Nations Service Medal, and a National Defense Service Medal. After his Military Service he returned to Montana and the Anaconda Mine, where he met and married his wife Shirley Ann Gable on February 22, 1958 in Anaconda, Deer Lodge County, Montana. A few years later with the beginning of his new family, he returned to Orem, Utah and began working with his Father and Brothers as an Electrical Contractor in the area, in time they incorporated into Johnson Electric of which he had part ownership with his brothers and worked with for the remaining of his career. He had a great love for the Outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening and he was an avid rock hound.

Paul is survived by his Children: Sherrie (Scott) Prestwich; Cindy (Byron) Workman; Becky Johnson; his Siblings: Brother Dee (Annabelle) Johnson, Sister Clara (Darwin) Carter, Sister Alta Sudweeks, also 15 Grandchildren and 14 great-Grandchildren
