Orem, Utah- Paul Raymond Jackson peacefully passed away in his sleep on December 16, 2016 into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. He was born April 15, 1934 in Pleasant Grove to Leon and Violet Jackson. He married his sweetheart LeeAnn on February 11, 1963 and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple April 16, 1993.
Paul raised his family in Huntington, Utah and later moved to Orem, Utah. He loved fiercely and would give the shirt of his back. Paul was a quiet soft spoken man that could say a thousand words without saying one. He managed to hold the respect of all that knew him and worked with him. Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings one of which was as an assistant in the High Priest quorum. Paul was a loyal Union Pipefitter since 1968. He was a loving dedicated father to 5 children, a grandfather to 22, and 38 great grandchildren. He was proud of all his children and their accomplishments. He was handy in the woodshop and was found making lighthouses, birdhouses, and rocking horses for many of his kids and grandkids. He could be found out fishing with his grandchildren and kids. He enjoyed gardening and keeping up a beautiful yard. His veins ran blue with BYU cougar blood and he didn’t miss a football game. He will be remembered fondly, loved, and missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents Leon and Violet Jackson, his sister Gloria Jackson, and his brothers Gene Jackson and Morris Jackson. He is survived by his sweetheart LeeAnn. His sisters Colleen (Fred) Rice of Portland OR, Catherine (Ralph) Simpson of Portland, OR, and Russel Jackson in West Valley City, UT. His 5 children Michelle(Chris) Fleming of Chandler, AZ, Wade(Sherese) Mann of Huntington, UT, Kelly(DeLynn) Mann of Rock Springs, WY, Lori Luke of Chandler AZ, and Paulyte (Rodger) Nicholes of Huntington, UT. His 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and his loving dog Cody.
The services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 12 Noon in the Cherry Hill 7th Ward, 135 E 2000 S, Orem, UT. A viewing will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church prior to the services. He will be buried at the Orem City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Cherry Hill 7th Ward for their compassionate service.
