Patricia Allen

Patricia Lee Moore Allen, 80, of Orem, passed away on February 17, 2023. She was born August 22, 1942, in Provo, Utah, to Glen Moore and Blanche Duke Anderson Moore. She married Ronald J. Allen on August 13, 1964, in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2014.

Patricia graduated from Brigham Young University with her BS in Elementary Education. She taught elementary school for 37 years, spending most of her career at Orem Elementary. She was a beloved and much-requested 3rd grade teacher. Her favorite subjects to teach were multiplication and cursive writing. She loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers each spring. She loved books and reading, and enjoyed sharing that love with her students and own children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and Primary, but spent most of her life serving with the Young Women.

Patricia is survived by her three children: Scott Allen of Provo; Steffani (Mark) Thomas of Bristow, VA; Tyler (Sonja) Allen of Lehi; four grandchildren (Whitney, Sydney, Benson and Miriam); and siblings Kevin (Gayla), Bob and Lori. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Glen and sisters: Bonnie and Shirley.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11 am in the Lakeview 7th Ward LDS Chapel located at 155 W 1600 S, Orem, Utah. There will be a visitation hour that morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. We politely request that all attendees wear facemasks to protect immunocompromised family members .

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to Recreation and Habilitation Services (RAH), where she volunteered. RAH provides much-needed support to individuals with disabilities and has blessed the life of her son, Scott, for many years. http://rahservices.org/
