Our beloved son and brother, Parker Williams Overly, returned to his Heavenly Father after a tragic car accident in Provo Canyon late Tuesday April 11, 2017. We will miss his sunny smile and big 6’5” bear hugs whenever he walked through the door.
Parker was born November 18, 1995. He was our sweet surprise baby who was adored by his parents and siblings. Parker grew up in Orem as a joyful and energetic boy who loved playing ball of any kind and being with his friends. He attended Foothill Elementary, Canyon View Jr. High, and Orem High School, where he excelled in academics and athletics. He played football, baseball, and basketball for Orem High and forever cherished his friendships with teammates and coaches.
Parker went on to attend college at UVU and was so excited about a recent promotion he received at his dream job, designing athletic uniforms for Pro Look Sports. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed being a home teacher with his dad.
Parker was a devoted son and loving brother. He is survived by his parents, Paul Williams Overly and Janna Affleck Overly; siblings Devin Overly, Doug Overly, Erin Overly Turner (Justin) and Lindsay Overly Weight; his grandmother Marcine Affleck; and nephew Maddox Weight.
Funeral services for Parker will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Windsor Stake Center located at 50 East 1600 North, Orem, UT. Visitations will be held Monday, April 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and before the funeral services on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Both visitations will be at the Stake Center.
