Norma Lynn (Jones) Kay, 76, of Orem, Utah, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Norma was born February 3, 1946, in Pwllheli (PUU - THEL – EE), North Wales, to Frederick Griffith Jones and Marjorie (Jackson) Jones. She married Ronald Frederick Kay in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 28, 1969. Ron preceded her in death on September 23, 1978.
Norma was a fantastic mother and grandmother who loved each child and grandchild with all her heart. She returned to BYU with two children under age 15 to complete her undergraduate degree, and then obtained her MSW degree from Carlton University in Ottawa, Canada. She spent the last 15 years of her therapy career running her own Family and Marriage practice. She was a caregiver for her parents during the last 15 years of their lives. She hosted many English and Welsh relatives, taking them and her grandchildren to Disneyland and site seeing all over the Western United States.
Norma is survived by her two children: Terence Frederick Kay of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Hilary Lynn (Kay) Secrist of Boise, Idaho; Son-in-Law Eric Mark Secrist; and her two grandsons: Ethan Eric Secrist of Boise, Idaho; and Will Ronald Secrist also of Boise, Idaho.
A visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah 84058. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
