Dr. Neil Cooper Thueson died on October 14, 2019, in Orem, Utah.
He was born to Ivan O Thueson and Venise Cooper Thueson on 24 November 1936 in Nephi, Utah. He is survived by his wife, Allien Ruth Dunster Thueson, five children – Debra Jackson, Dara White, Diane Reich, Derek Thueson, Damon Thueson, and twelve grandchildren, one sister (Ila Lamb) and one brother (Bryce Thueson)
He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy and later served in the Naval Reserve. He attended Idaho State College (now University), Brigham Young University, and part-time at the University of Houston, the University of Arkansas, and the University of New Mexico. He earned a Doctor of Education degree from BYU and a secondary teaching certificate from the University of Arkansas.
He served a mission in France and he and Allien served missions in Viet Nam, Taiwan, Mongolia, Poland, and Church Service missions in Family Search in Orem.
Funeral Services will be held on October 18th at 1:00 PM in the Park Fourth Ward, 750 West Center Street, Orem, Utah. Interment will be at 3 PM at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1711 Camp Williams Road (State Road 68, just north of Camp Williams)
There will not be a viewing, but family and friends are invited to join the visitation at 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM on the day of the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to make a donation to the LDS General Missionary Fund.
