Nancy Lynne Anderson June 8th, 1942 ~ November 15th, 2015 Nancy Lynne Anderson-incredible wife, mother, grandmother, devoted daughter of God-passed away at 1:45 in the afternoon in her home on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at the age of 73. She had bravely fought the onset of heart failure and most recently cancer until succumbing to its complications. Nancy would never have touted herself as a special or remarkable person, but hundreds of friends, family, and colleagues would argue otherwise. Nancy was a humble woman who gave her all in the service of others and to building and supporting her family. All she ever really wanted is for her family to be together. She succeeded. We are very close. Nancy grew up in Salt Lake City with her siblings, Ray, Robert and Sandra. She graduated from West High School and briefly attended LDS Business College. Nancy met her husband working at Grants Department Store and went with him to Spokane, Washington to be married and start a family. They moved throughout the western states before returning to Utah. Eventually they settled in their northwest Orem home in 1973. They raised a family of five children. Nancy served her community both in her daily interactions and through her church callings. Early on she was loved by the youth in her area and known as Sister Nancy to the girls and Sister A to the boys. Nancy loved working with the boys as a Den Leader. She served as a ward Relief Society President and also a stake Relief Society President for many years. Her impact on the community and her neighbors still resonates years later. Nancy loved her family and adored her five granddaughters. Every day she spent thinking of all of us. We will spend the rest of our lives thinking of her. Nancy Anderson is survived by her husband Stan, and their five children and spouses: Kelly Rae Anderson, Randy William Anderson (Cari), Markus T. Anderson (Katie), Cory Stephen Anderson, and Megan Margaret Anderson (Dave). She has five granddaughters: Shelby Tobler (Aaron), Cailee, Madison, Sydnee, and Delaney. Nancy is also survived by her sister Sandra (Lloyd) and brother Ray (Linda). Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and Ray Holmes as well as her brother Robert. Her canine family will miss her greatly as well: Gracie, Ellee, One-eyed Charlie, Henry, Parker, Jax, Sandy and William. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Timpview 2nd Ward Chapel, 950 West 1200 North in Orem. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem and also Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
