Mote Kiai Mo'unga, age 76, passed away on November 1st, 2023 from terminal pancreatic cancer. He passed peacefully in the home of his daughter, Vika Mo'unga, in Provo, Utah, surrounded by his loving family.
Mote was born August 9th, 1947 in Kolonga, Tonga. He was the first of 12 children born to Mo'unga O'Tonga Aisake and Halamehi Kalolaine Kaufusi Emosi.
He attended Church College of Hawaii where he met and married Victoria Jeanne Powell on November 4th, 1969. They were later sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple.
Mote and Vicky served as senior missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Quezon City, Philippines Mission in 2007-2008.
After 40 years of marriage Mote and Vicky divorced, and Mote later married Keri Allen.
He will be buried next to his son Moses O'Tonga (Tony) who preceded him in death. He leaves us all a legacy of love for his family and friends. He is a great example of generosity, hard work, and determination to succeed.
He is survived by his wife Keri, his brothers and sisters; Inoke (Shawnee), Loviana (Tonga), Akanesi Uasike, Sepesi (Tena), 'Alisi Tomasi (Leini), Seini Vailea (Fanueli), his children; Timothy (Angie), William (Teuila), 'Alisi Stone (Brian), Vika, 23 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Provo 12th Ward Chapel, 780 North 700 West, Provo, Utah.
