Michael Thomas Jepsen, 57, of Provo, Utah, passed away June 13, 2023. Born January 13, 1966, in Fairfield, California, he was the son of Thomas and D. Anne Jepsen. Best known as “Mic” and “Mickey” to family and friends, he was the third of four children - Laurie, Harold and Suzanne.
Michael had a zest for life and often lived in an exponential way. He grew up through his elementary school years in Los Angeles and later the Knightsen area of Contra Costa County, California, where the family relocated. He attended Liberty High School in Brentwood, California. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Growing up he enjoyed motorcycles, sporty cars, making motorized things run, animals and friends. He loved playing basketball and the extreme sport and tricks of barefoot water skiing. For a time, he lived “on-the-water” of the California San Joaquin Delta. A barefoot skier’s paradise. Michael had a real estate marketing business and holiday lighting service. He became a proficient window tinter, a trade he held for many years.
Michael had a big heart for his family, animals, and children. His fun-loving and chiding personality ensured laughs and sometimes awkward worry in family and social gatherings. His wit and humorous perspective in nearly every circumstance will be missed. God be with you Michael.
The family will be holding a private remembrance. Interment in the Union Cemetery, Brentwood, CA.
