Masako Tanner, age 87, passed away October 21, 2018 in Orem, Utah. She was born August 17,1931 in Kokura, Japan...in a little town of Iizuka.
She met her husband, Charlie who was serving in the US Navy in Japan. They were married on March 9, 1960 while living in Japan. They came to the United States to start a new life and raise their two children. Their journey took them to live all across the country and finally making their home in Orem, Utah.
Masako was a beautiful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman of great faith and grew to have a strong testimony of Christ through being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a big heart filled with tenderness, sensitivity and full of wisdom and bravery. She nurtured and cherished the family unity and viewed it as the greatest gift. Masako will be greatly missed by all who have had the blessing of knowing her. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charlie Tanner. Two sons; Vince (RoShell) Tanner, Bruce (Leslie) Tanner and 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Funeral Services will be held at Windsor Stake Center. 60 East 1600 North, Orem, UT 84057 at 11:00am on Friday, October 26th, 2018. Viewing will be held prior to services at 9:30 am the morning of October 26th.
