Marley Howe

American Fork, Utah

It’s with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Marley “Craig” Howe, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He passed away September 17, 2022, in American Fork, Utah at home with family.  Craig was born December 11, 1947, in South Gate, California.  His parents were Amos Ross Howe and Barbara Boyter until her passing, and Jane LaVonne Epperson. He married Sylvia Jeanette Bruber on May 27, 1971 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

Craig served in the U.S. Army in the Medical EENT, Fort Ord Post in Monterey Bay, California during the Vietnam War.  He went on to graduate from the University of Utah with his Bachelors in Sociology.  He was a faithful member of the LDS Church who was able to serve a mission in the North Columbia River Washington State Mission and was also able to serve with his wife in the Orem, Utah Mission. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Craig is survived by his wife Sylvia, and four children: Stephen (Kari) Howe of Provo, Utah; Shelly (Jamey) Christensen of Orem, Utah; Michael (Liz) Howe of Heber, Utah; Natalie (Jason) Renfro of Pleasant Grove, Utah. 23 Grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Megan Rebecca and Kathryn Elizabeth.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 6:30-8:30 pm at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 am in the American Fork 30th Ward LDS Chapel, 270 North 900 East, American Fork, with a viewing held that morning at the church from 9:30-10:30 am just prior to the services.  Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
