Marjorie Ostler Winward, 93, of Orem, passed away at home on Thursday, September 9, 2021. She was born August 13, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, to Steven Lovell and Margaret Pearl Ostler. She married Ned Ross Winward on May 3, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple, they spent 51 years together until his passing on November 1, 2011.
Marjorie lived a full and incredible life. She enjoyed travel, nature, and being with her family and loved ones. She always offered a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a long and rewarding career in Elementary Education throughout the western US. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her faith guided her; giving her a sense of purpose and belonging. she proudly served an LDS mission to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and a couples mission to Jacksonville, Florida. She was active in her community as a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Orem Women’s Club.
Marjorie is survived by her seven children: Mabel Foster, Sally Montgomery, Steven Winward, Lorena Winward, Gerald Winward, Nedra Keil, Franklin Winward. Her youngest brother Newell Ostler; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ned Ross Winward, and son Walter Winward.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Lakeview 7th Ward LDS Chapel located at 1600 South 155 West, Orem, with a visitation held from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to the services. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm. at the Whitney Cemetery in Preston, Idaho.
