Marilyn Carol (Anderson) Asman, 63, peacefully returned to her heavenly home on August 27, 2017, in Longview, Washington. Her devotion to her family was immeasurable. She had a giving & loving spirit that will live on with all who knew her.
"Mel" was born on December 14, 1953, in San Pedro, California, to the late Grant Larson & Marjorie Bernice (Simons) Anderson. She was blessed with a large loving family. Marilyn was the youngest of 7 siblings who all watched over & cared for her.
She graduated high school from Long Beach Polytechnic in 1971. She met Michael Milton Asman (preceded in death November 8, 1996) that year and fell madly in love. They married April 2, 1975, she was 21.
Mike & Marilyn's legacy lives on through their 5 children; Jennifer Hescock & spouse Corrie Hescock, Michelle Luton & spouse Jeff Luton, Jaime Kirkham & spouse Ryan Kirkham, Michael Asman & partner Juliann Burns, Justin Asman & spouse Ali Asman. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Kristen Hescock & partner Kevin Emerick, Blake Hescock, Dakota Luton, Kameron Hescock & partner Breanna Moeser, Jaren Kirkham, Aaron Luton, Rylan Kirkham, Gage Luton, Atreyu Asman, Chevelle Asman, Jace Kirkham, Cheyenne Asman & Kaiya Asman (due into this world in October.) Great grandchildren include; Greyson Emerick & Carter Hescock. She is also survived by her siblings & their spouses; Donna (Anderson) & Robert Bledsoe, Grant & Diane Anderson, Daryl (Anderson) & Don Johnson, Kenneth & Donna Anderson, Carl & Brenda Anderson, Keith & Wendy Anderson as well as hundreds of nieces and nephews.
Family & friends are invited to celebrate Marilyn's life Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home in Orem, Utah; 495 State St, 84058. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. & funeral at 11 a.m. Reception luncheon to follow graveside dedication.
