Marcus Vincent Hansen

Marcus Vincent Hansen, 38, of Orem, Utah, passed away on July 9, 2024 after a life well lived. 

Marcus was born in Orem, Utah, on December 15th, 1985, to Michael and Charlotte Vincent Hansen. He was the youngest of 4 siblings and had a special close bond with his brother Matt, who was just 14 months older. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 2004. Following high school, Marcus went on to enjoy many successful years in the tech industry. He was also part owner of a construction company in recent years. 

Marcus believed in living life to its fullest, and he lived his own life accordingly. He had a profound love of music, and he was known to introduce his favorite songs and artists to anyone who'd listen. Las Vegas was one of his favorite destinations, and he could often be found placing stacks of chips on 34 at the roulette tables. He loved sports, especially football, basketball, soccer, and golf. He was a huge fan of Utah sports teams including the Utah Jazz, the BYU Cougars, and Real Salt Lake. He was an avid gamer, and he built many friendships through games like World of Warcraft.

Known by his friends as "Vinny", he was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. He was known for his remarkable sense of humor, and for bringing joy to those around him. He was always good for a laugh, no matter the setting. He was the epitome of selflessness, and he never hesitated to help those in need of assistance. He made friends with strangers from all walks of life wherever he went. He was an incredible friend, and he always desired to include as many people as possible, no matter the activity. He never missed a chance to let those in his life know how much he loved and valued them, and he was loved and valued by so many.

Marcus is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte. He is survived by his father, Michael, his brothers, Mike and Matt, and his sister, Maren and their families.

Marcus will be remembered for the light he brought to the lives of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed by friends and family alike. All are welcome to join in celebrating Marcus on Thursday, July 18th. This celebration of life will be held at 95 North 600 West, Orem, UT 84057 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
