Manuel "Ross" Rose our loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather passed away peaceably at home September 5, 2015 at the age of 83. We will truly miss him for the kind, loving person that he was. He loved his family very much and we love him and will miss him! Ross was born in Martinez, California on December 17, 1931 to Frank and Mary Rose. He loved in Martinez, California until he entered the Air Force when he was 19. He loved the military and all it stood for. He retired in 1974 after 23 years of honorable service. He married his lifelong partner and sweetheart Dolores Young in July 1955 and raised 4 children with her. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland Temple in December 1965. They lived many places together and moved around a lot due to his career in the military which instilled a love of traveling in them and their children. He was baptized in 1955 and was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout the years such as Ward Clerk, Elders Quorum President, Young Men's President, and Sunday School President to name a few. He served as Bishop for the Kearns 12th Ward for several years until he was released to serve a Family History Service Mission to Oakland, California with Dolores. He lost his first love in 2008, and after a couple of years of being without her in the home they built together, he moved to Mount Pleasant to be with his grandson, Steve, and his family. While there, after trying his hand at internet dating, he met Beverly. He fell hard and fast for the woman who eased his sadness and helped to fill the void in his heart. They built a new life in American Fork, Utah, where they pursued their joint love of traveling and adventure - and he finally got to go on a cruise! Ross is survived by his wife, Bevely; children, Sharon Borton (American Fork, Utah), Lee Jones (Biggs, Ok), Wanda Soder (Delta, Utah), Patty Baldwin (American Fork, Utah) Chad (Lisa), Kelly (Chuck), Kim (Brian), Lance (Nicole), Dani (Chris), Travis; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
