Lorna DeAnn Jenson

April 7, 1941 — May 18, 2024

Orem

Lorna DeAnn Lundgren Jenson, surrounded by family, returned to her Heavenly Father on May 19th, 2024. She was welcomed by her husband of 48 years, and we imagine their reunion was full of hugs, kisses, and dancing.

She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on April 7th, 1941 to Bruce and Lapreal Lundgren. She moved many times during her childhood, including stops in Idaho Falls, Idaho; Bozeman, Montana; and Pleasant Grove, Utah.

DeAnn graduated high school in Idaho Falls, kept in touch with her classmates over the years, and enjoyed attending her high school reunions any chance she could get.

DeAnn spent some time in Belgium working as a secretary in the American Embassy. There she picked up a love for the French language and became fluent.

After returning to the States she met the love of her life, Grover Elias Jenson. After a short courtship, they were married on September 25th, 1969 in the Salt Lake, Utah LDS Temple.

DeAnn was the mother to 3 boys and one daughter: Ryan, Tyler, Aurora, and Jeremy. She took great pleasure in her children and enjoyed being a mother.

DeAnn is survived by her children Ryan (LoriAnn McArthur), Tyler (Michelle Miller), Aurora (Tina Lantz), and Jeremy (Plonnie Taylor), 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Suzette) Lundgren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

DeAnn had a love of music and would sing any chance she could get.  She studied vocal performance at BYU and also performed with the Chantanettes. Later in life, she enjoyed singing in her ward choir.  Her home was always filled with music.

DeAnn loved to write and loved family history.  She combined these two loves and completed a book that contained her life story.

DeAnn had an ability to make everyone she talked to feel loved, and accepted.  She made friends easily and for a lifetime.

DeAnn had a love for her Savior and truly emulated what it means to follow Christ.  She lived the two great commandments well “love the Lord thy God” and “love thy neighbor”.

She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Grover, sisters Connie Lundgren, Judie Lundgren and younger brother John Lundgren. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor.
