Our much loved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, Linda Knight Rowley, age 74, died peacefully in her home on Monday, February 13th, 2017.
Linda was born on July 28, 1942, Olympia Washington, the oldest of five children to Howard and Margaret Knight. She was sealed for time and all eternity to Thomas H. Rowley on December 27, 1963, in the St. George Temple.
Linda enjoyed writing and teaching. She was a graduate of Southern Utah University and taught school for 15 years. Her students ranged in age from elementary to junior high, and she loved working with the youth. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and her many callings included teaching primary, writing and directing Road-Shows, and working with the young women. She loved to travel when she could and also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her three daughters: Jennifer Lindsey, Robyn (Eli) Morais, and Heidi (Greg) Buttars; five grand-children: Kaitlyn Lindsey, (22), Chloe Lindsey (19), Abby Buttars (14), Liam Buttars (12), and Maxwell Buttars, (8); and her mother, Margaret Knight; and sisters Ruth and Rosie. She is preceded in death by her husband, father, and two siblings, Bill and Christine.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Canyon View Stake Center, 575 East, 800 North, Orem, Utah. Friends and Family are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 that morning. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery. We appreciate the outpouring of love, support and service that has been given to our family at this time, especially from the IHC Hospice Group.
