Linda Wheeler

Linda Jo George Wheeler was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  After a valiant battle with breast cancer, she left this world on January 25, 2022.

She was born to Don and Josephine George on July 4, 1947, a date that instilled in her a love of her country she held dear to her heart.

Linda met and married Marvin K Wheeler, and together they had five children: D. Chrystine, Dyane, Denyse, Doug, and David (she loved Ds and Ys). But as much as Linda loved being a mom, she truly blossomed in the role of grandmother to her 15 amazing grandkids.

Linda had many loves in life besides her grandchildren: music, reading, helping others through grief, and serving those she could.  She was an accomplished singer and pianist and filled her home with music & song (with a liiiittle bit of dance).  When she wasn’t being a mom or working, she was learning in an effort to become a better and more loving person, something she truly excelled at. Linda had a very close relationship with her Savior and Father in Heaven, and always strived to follow Christ’s example and become a more kind and loving person. Anyone who met her knew her huge heart could hold any trouble they came to her with… and she gave the BEST hugs!

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lana.

Funeral services will be Friday, Feb 4th at the LDS chapel at 80 West 900 South in Orem, UT starting at 11:00 AM.  For those who’d like to pay their respects, there will be two viewings, one the morning of the funeral from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same chapel, and the other viewing the evening before, on Thursday, Feb 3rd, at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary (450 S. State St. in Orem) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for those unable to attend the morning services.
