Leonard Clair Stolle, 83, of Orem, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was born April 25,1936 in Glendale, California, to Martain Emile Stolle and Clara Jane Cowden. He married Sandra Jean Miles on February 21, 1958 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Los Angeles Temple. Sandra preceded him in death on January 12,1990. He later married Beverly Jean Yocom.
Leonard served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1964. He served at Fort Hunumi, Point Magu, and Okinawa as a CB, where he helped build the Air Force barracks. In his early years, he worked in cabinet making and construction. Later, he pursued his education and became an Electrical Design Engineer. He enjoyed stamp collecting and wood working, and creating furniture items. He was a proud father and grandfather and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Home Teacher, Ward Clerk, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, First and Second Counselor to the Bishop, and Ward Executive Secretary.
Leonard is survived by his second wife, Beverly Jean Yocom, and by two of his children: Stan (Shelley) Stolle of Provo, Utah; Stacie (Patrick) Bonar of Vista, California; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, his son, Sterling, his brothers Emile, Jack, Leroy, and Leo, and his sister, Barbara.
Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel on 891 West 130 North, Orem, Utah. Burial will be in the Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California, with military rites by an Honor Guard of active service members.
