Lenard “Allen” Hair (48) born 7/21/1971 in Payson, UT to Lenard Dee and Alice K Pace Hair. Passed away 7/27/2019, from medical issues related to a botched neck surgery in 2012, which left him paralyzed on the right side.
Allen was raised in Provo, going to multiple schools throughout his childhood due to the boundary changes every year. He loved his family and was very protective and supportive of them all. Being the youngest he was everyone’s little baby. He earned the nickname of “Big Al” while staying with a cousin at the age of 2. He definitely grew into the name.
He was always working on something. If it had an engine he could tell you what was wrong with it in minutes just by listening to it. He worked as a mechanic, welder, handyman and Maintenance Tech at C&D Salvage, Creers Sheet Metal, KNAACK, CBI, Pinnacle Canyon View Apartments and Mountain Country Foods. He would often say he was a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. Allen loved working and getting to know everyone. He quickly made friends everywhere he worked. He was one of the biggest teases you ever met and would say, “If I didn’t like you I wouldn’t tease you.” His love for his family shown in every picture with him. He had special nicknames for every one of his nieces and nephews. He took on the mentor roll for all of them.
Allen loved to hunt, camp, fish, ride 4-wheelers and being with his family around a campfire. He also enjoyed driving his buggy and going digging in his Samari.
He is survived by brothers Robert “Steven” Hatch Sr., John Thomas (Tom) Hair; sisters Alice Rebecca (Becky) Hansen, Annadee Hair and Tamara Adell (Tami) Herman. Many nieces and nephews and his old fur buddy Rowdy. He is preceded in death by his Parents Lenard Dee and Alice K Pace Hair, two sister-in-laws Linda Hatch and Sherri Hair; three nephews Thomas Aaron Hatch, Martin Adam and Travis Ronald Hansen; Niece Katti Lynn (Hair) Oman and great nephew Drake Warner.
What do you say about your little brother when he is no longer your little brother but a wonderful man who would do anything for anyone!
The family asks weather permitting if you have a Buggy, Samari or cool car that you please bring it to celebrate his love for them.
