Laverl Aston

March 1, 1921 — April 25, 2015

LaVerl William Aston beloved father and husband passed away on April 25, 2015 with his wife by his side. LaVerl was born March 1, 1921 in Carterville, Utah - Then called Provo Bench to William and Hilda Richins Aston. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem. He then graduated from BYU after 1 year and went to work for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in California. Then shortly after he was drafted into WWII and served from 1942 to 1945 in 1710 signal aviation corporation. After the war he met the love of his life at the roller rink in Spanish Fork. They used to go dancing in Provo and married October 10, 1947. They had 5 children. He worked for Wasatch chemical in the warehouse in Orem driving a Semi before moving to California and opening 3 KFC franchises with his brother. He retired from Pace Arrow in 1986 and moved to Utah to live out his life with Elsie. He volunteered at the local senior center and assisted many people. He joked and teased almost everyone he came in contact with. He was able to take Elsie to Hawaii on their 50th wedding anniversary for a 2nd Honeymoon. He is well loved and will be missed greatly. LaVerl is survived by his wife Elsie B. Aston, Sister Thelma Vera Carter, Brother Eldon Grant Aston, 3 sons Mike Riverside, CA, Dan (Yvonne) Crestline, CA, Paul Cedar city, UT 2 daughters, Wendy (Doug) Compton, ARK, Kim (Chris) Ravensdale, WA, 9 grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren. A special thank you to Harmony and Home front for their loving care! A visitation will be held Friday prior to the graveside service from 1:00-2:00p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah. Graveside Services will take place on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. At 2:30p.m. Refreshments and visiting with family and friends will take place at the LDS Chapel at 365 South 900 East after Services.
