On April 2nd, 2023, LaNette Robison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at her daughter's home in Woods Cross, Utah. She was born on September 22, 1926, in Parowan, Utah, to Marion Edgar Lowder and Evelyn Leone Taylor, and was raised as a farmer and sheep rancher along with her seven siblings. LaNette had an identical twin sister, Laprel, and together they were known as the "roller skating twins" of Parowan. She helped support her family by gathering eggs and selling them.
LaNette's strong work ethic stayed with her throughout her life. She worked tirelessly in various capacities until she was 85 years old, retiring twice from BYU food services. She had exceptional skills in cooking, sewing, and quilt-making, which she honed through years of practice and dedication. She was a talented seamstress and a master of home decor, and her ability to turn any piece of fabric into a work of art was truly remarkable. She completed over 70 quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, while enjoying her favorite pastime of watching the Jazz games.
LaNette married Henry Dean Robison in Provo, Utah, on January 8, 1949, and together they had three children, LaDean, Christine, and Gary Robison. LaNette's dedication to her family, faith, and hard work continued as she raised her family and served in her work in the church as a primary teacher and cub scout leader.
LaNette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, as well as her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two children, LaDean Thueson and Gary Robison, 10 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
