Judd Boehme

March 14, 1969 — February 25, 2023

Orem, UT

Judd Frederick Boehme, 53, of Orem Utah, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, after battling cancer. He was born March 14, 1969, in Redwood City, CA to Sandra Kay Ramsour Boehme and Ralph Harold Boehme. He married Michelle Elaina Bell on May 12, 1993, in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Judd was a wonderful husband and the loving father of 5 children. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West Virginia Charleston mission from 1988-1990.

Judd graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 in Economics. He returned to school a few years later and went on to receive his doctorate from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2002.

Judd was passionate in his pursuit of learning, constantly reading and taking courses to learn new things. He especially loved learning about the history of the world. He also loved to teach others. He was a renowned dental implant specialist, taught continuing education courses to doctors from all over the world, and was a teacher for the California Implant Institute.

Judd enjoyed adventure and endurance racing, completing several triathlons and ultramarathons, and winning several 12–48-hour wilderness adventure races with his team.

He loved backpacking, and took multi-day hikes whenever he could, including to the Annapurna Sanctuary in Nepal and to the peak of Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the continental US. He loved to take his kids camping and backpacking.

Judd is perhaps best known for his generosity and his cheerfulness and sense of humor. It is for these qualities he will be most sorely missed.

Judd loved change, and liked to shake things up by moving to new places. He loved all of the places he called home, including Corvallis and Albany Oregon, the Bay Area, Prescott Arizona, Rolla Missouri, Reno Nevada, and Provo, Orem, and Cedar Hills UT.

Judd is preceded in death by his father Ralph. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; his children, Joryn McKay (Riley) Brehaut, Brooklyn Chance (Nate) Boehme (Millington), Spencer Allison, Caden Grant, and Mason Kate, and his granddaughter Maizy; his mother Sandy and his brother Joshua; several cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held March 11 at 2 pm, at 450 S 100 W, Orem UT. A reception will follow for those who wish to share memories. Please text Michelle at 573-202-3410 if you would like to attend the reception.
