Juan Navarrete

March 10, 1970 — October 1, 2021

Juan Alberto “Beto” Navarrete, 51, of Orem, passed away peacefully Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born on March 10, 1970 in Mendoza, Argentina to Juan Bautista Navarrete and Carmen D’Agostino. He married Clara Etelvina Lamas 25 years ago in Argentina.

Beto was a passionate mechanic, lover of classic cars, and fan of fútbol – specifically Boca Juniors and Selección Argentina. In his youth, he was a skilled soccer player and travelled with his club team throughout Argentina. He had a radiant smile, that shined even brighter when he was outdoors; be it at the beach, the mountains, or caring for his fruit trees at home. He loved to grill delicious asado for family and friends on special occasions or whenever the weather was nice. He was a loving, encouraging, and strong father and was known by all to be the kind of man who would give anything, do anything, and work any hours to provide for his family. He was a loyal friend, and a proud and hardworking small business owner, doing everything he could to help as many as he could.

Beto is survived by his wife Clara Etelvina Lamas, 46, of Orem, Utah, and his three children: Julieta Navarrete Lamas, 23, of San Jose, California; Matias Navarrete Lamas, 20, of Orem, Utah; and Aldana Navarrete Lamas, 15, of Orem, Utah.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Aspen 6th Ward Chapel located at 1546 N 1100 W, Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held that Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. at the same chapel. There will be a livestream and recording of the funeral services for family that resides in Argentina. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the GoFundMe set up by a family friend for Clara and her kids, would be appreciated.
