Josiah Birdell Sorensen passed away at his home in Provo, Utah on the evening of Saturday, November 21, 2015. He was born on June 8, 1978, in Provo, Utah, to John Edgar and Julie May Sorensen. Josiah attended Orem High School and worked as a machinist and a mason. Possessing a keen interest in engineering and mechanics, he loved to tinker and was fond of working with his hands. He loved spending time in nature and could often be found hiking the mountains in the area. Josiah spent countless hours crafting gifts for the children of the family, from crowns of flowers to Lego landscapes. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Edgar Birdell Sorensen, and John Powell and Vera May Lowe; and his nephew: Isaac Paul Brimley. He is survived by his parents, his grandmother: Elva Sorensen, and siblings: Jason John (Carol) Sorensen, Joshua Powell Sorensen, and Jessica Rochelle (Paul) Brimley; and the nieces and nephews he so dearly loved. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heatheridge Stake Center, 450 E 2000 N, Orem, Utah. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Wells Fargo in the "Josiah Sorensen Donation Fund".
