Jonathan Paul Hill, 36, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2017, at his home in Provo, Utah. He was born on June 27, 1980, in Brenham, Texas, to Roy Dean Hill and Deborah Foster.
Jonathan graduated from high school in 1999. Shortly thereafter, he served an LDS Mission in the Novosibirsk Russia Mission. While there, he developed a deep and lasting love for all things Russian. After coming home, he would always search for ways to return to Russia in spirit. He pursued many academic studies with his final goal to become an addiction recovery counselor. His hobbies included snowboarding, hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking. Those around him could feel his love and knew he would help in times of need.
He is survived by his father and stepmother Roy Dean and Gay Hill; mother Deborah Foster; siblings: Jennifer (Shawn), Sharon (John), Bob (Vanessa), Melissa (Matthew), Kerrie, Heather and Jacquelyn (Jonathan); as well as his 11 nephews and 8 nieces.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held on Saturday prior to the services at the mortuary from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
