John Clyde Worley, 67, of Orem, Utah, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023. He was born June 25, 1956, in American Fork, Utah, to Samuel Rich Worley and Mavis Garrard Worley.
He married Sherrie Lynn Heninger on June 19, 1981, in the Logan LDS Temple and was married for 27 years. John graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Business Administration and served as the student body Vice President. He worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch, was VP of Sales for Data Pad, and was an avid investor.
John enjoyed golfing, baseball, bird hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an excellent father and grandfather and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a full-time mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and continued to serve as a home teacher and youth leader.
John is survived by his four children: JesseAnn (David) Mink of Alpine, Utah; Jena (Shane) Rowley of Lehi, Utah; Samuel (Tasha) Worley of Payson, Utah; J. Coleson Worley of American Fork, Utah; and 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, John C. Worley, and his parents, Samuel and Mavis Worley.
Funeral or memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the LDS Stake Center on 1050 N. 600 W. Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 am at the church. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
