John Randall Latham, age 67, of Orem, Utah passed on peacefully at home on 31 January 2022. He was born 9 July 1954 in Corona, California, to J R and Martha Dell Malinda Williams Latham. He married Kathryn Joan Zaneski on 27 March 1993 in Riverside, California and sealed in the San Diego LDS Temple 14 March 2001.
John enjoyed playing sports most of his life, especially volleyball, football, softball, baseball and basketball. When he was no longer able to play, he continued to cheer on his favorite teams. His favorites were the California Angels and the San Francisco 49ers. He also loved to cheer on the Los Angeles Kings. He played an acoustic guitar from his youth until the strokes he had in 2014 took that away but he enjoyed when others would play for him. Music was always a big part of his life. He served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had an unwavering testimony of the gospel.
John leaves behind his devoted wife Kathy and our children, son Justin who blessed us with grandsons Wayland and Wyatt, of Utah (Michelle Evans) (Michelle Fairbourn); Brandon who blessed us with grandsons Cash and Drake, of Nevada; son Christopher (Sabrina Rath) Urianza, of California; son Matthew (Tammi Morris) Urianza who blessed us with Violette, Leo and Keanu, of California; Haylee (Tony) Mijares, of Utah; Derek who blessed us with Sophia (Tatyana Buttel), of Utah; Jessica (Weston Fullmer), of Utah and Jennie (Ryan Grimmius), of Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, our daughter Heather Urianza and his nephews Ammon Latham and Ian Olson.
