Jeffery Paul Millet was born on March 7, 1978, in Tallahassee, Florida to Robert and Shauna Millet. Jeff was the fourth of six children and everyone’s favorite. Jeff’s bright white hair and infectious grin rubbed off on each person he encountered. Nearly every night when Bob would come home from work Jeff would ask him “mints or gum” and Dad always had gum for Jeff. Jeff was always a natural athlete and loved sports and was always on the go. I was reminded yesterday of “Bring the Heat Millet” which his beloved coach would encourage when he was playing ball.
Jeff is survived by his daughter Isabella, his parents Robert and Shauna Millet. His siblings Angie, David (Adri), Michael (Susan), Becky (Paul) Defa and Steve. Jeff is also survived by his nieces and nephews – Brayden (Shanni), Jaxon, Skyler, Jordan, Baylee, Camden, Asher, Zack, Mackenzie and Linzi. Jeff was also very close with his uncle Keith and Aunt Marilyn Sizemore and is survived by his aunt Carol Ann (Bubba) Bertrand and many cousins.
If you know Jeff, you know that he loved the outdoors and could sit and look at the mountains and desert for hours and hours. A few years ago, he asked Bella if they could live off the grid and she said it was okay as long as she could have an elephant. It is a family joke that although Jeff loved fishing the fish didn’t like him, and he may not have caught many but the people he went fishing with always did. Jeff wanted nothing more than to make the world a better place and he did – his core values were connection and communication and that has been obvious the last few days as dozens of friends have reached out to our family. Jeff always made an active effort to reach out to all of his friends and family and make sure that they knew how much he loved them. We are all pretty sure Jeff is in his happy place and gone fishing.
