Their example of Christ-like lives inspired her to hear the gospel discussions and doctrines of the church, and to join the church.

In April 1958 she moved to Salt Lake City, and after a brief courtship she married C. Val Buxton in the Logan Temple. It has remained a joyful marriage since that time. They are the parents of six children: Cathleen (Brent Croxton). Michael (Debra Clester), David (Deanna Drudge). Joel (Pamela Holland), Bradley, and Matthew (Grace Bautista). She has l9 grandchildren and l9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David. five grandchildren - Scott. Samuel, Elijah, Ryan, and Christian Buxton, her brother Gary and her sister Carole. She has endured many pains in life for the past 45 years but her noble spirit never lost its ability to love and to serve her family, her neighbors and her church.

Jeanne was a "stay at home" mom and a most excellent wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She was energetic in loving and teaching everyone in her family. She was active in many callings in church, serving in the capacities as teacher and the presidents in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society organizations. She has experienced leadership in both ward and stake levels of the church. Her favorite calling was as an early morning Seminary teacher and especially loved the youth she served.

She and her family have enjoyed the love and friendship of many wonderful people and wish to extend love and appreciation to all those friends across the nation.
