Jeanette Powell

Jeanette Marie Millet Powell, age 80 of Lindon, Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 6, 2021, at the Spring Gardens Assisted Living Center.

Jeanette was born in Provo Utah to Joseph Burr Millet and Anna Agnes Duffin Millet on December 4, 1940.  She married her Eternal companion, Lynn Eugene Powell from Levan Utah, on Nov 4, 1966 in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple for Time and all Eternity.

Jeanette graduated from Orem High School and the Orem LDS Seminary she pursued a business course attending Henegars Business College, Utah Technical College and BYU.  As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in Relief Society, Primary and various other positions throughout her life.  She also served as an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and loved working with Genealogy and documenting family history. As longtime residents of Nephi Utah, for 40+ years, Jeanette was employed by Jolene’s, Zions and Beehive Clothing Mills.

Jeannette is survived by her Eternal Companion Lynn Powell of Lindon Utah, her 3 Children, Richard Powell (Shawna) of Lindon Utah, Julia Bagshaw (Dave) of Provo Utah, Kirsten South (Greg) of Olympia Washington, 11 Grandkids, and 16 great-grandchildren and one brother Joseph Brian Millet. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and a brother who died at birth.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Lindon 2nd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel Located at 610 West 100 South in Lindon Utah.  A viewing for friends and family will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah and on Wednesday just prior to service from 10-1045 a.m.  Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery at 610 South State Street.
