Jean McIntire Partridge passed away peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the age of 98. Jean was born October 7, 1917 in Price, Utah. She was the daughter of William Mathis and Zelma McIntire. She attended the University of Utah where she met her husband Francis Marion Partridge. Jean returned to the U and completed a degree in Arts and Crafts. Jean taught Art in the Granite School District. She later earned her Special Education Certificate and taught Special Ed for 13 years. She served in many capacities in the LDS Church, many times sharing her art expertise. She created the bust of Edward Partridge for the monument in the Nauvoo Cemetery. She was active for many years in the Mental Retardation Association of Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and her daughter Linda. She is survived by a daughter, Beth Merrill (Bruce), sons Paul Partridge (Cathy) and Robert Partridge (Kathy), 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, December 18th at 10 am at the Edgewood Ward, 3511 N. 180 E. in Provo, with a viewing that same day from 9-9:45 am at the ward chapel.
