Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather James “Jim” Trego died peacefully in Utah Valley Medical Center on February 11, 2017, in Provo, Utah, at the age of 90.
Jim was born on November 26, 1926, in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, to John Elliott Trego and Laura Edith Watters.
Jim is survived by his wife Sharon Lee Trego; children: James “Jet” Trego and Jo Trego, Julie Stuart, Steven Boyenger, Kristin Ward, Cynthia “C.J.” Boyenger, and Scott Boyenger; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Katherine “Kazee” Trego on June 23, 1982.
Jim served in the Army Air Core Program during World War II. His passions included aviation and music. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and was loved dearly by all who knew him.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities, including as a home and Sunday school teacher and as a high priest.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3 pm. At the Canyon View 1st LDS Ward Chapel at 575 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. A visitation will begin 2 p.m. at the church.
