Jack Harmon

Jack E Harmon, age 92 passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022, in Mesa Arizona. Jack was born March 11, 1929 in Moroni Utah to Joseph and Jenavie Boren Harmon. He married Bonnie Mae Holman on June 7, 1957.  Their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Jack is a devoted husband, father and grandparent who enjoyed sharing his life with them through camping, fishing, travel and sports.

Jack worked at Geneva Steel then enlisted in the US Navy for four years where he served in Hawaii and Japan, then he continued on with Geneva where he later retired.  Jack was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a teacher and home teacher. He was a member of the Cougar club where he enjoyed supporting BYU sports for more than 55 years. He always enjoyed having pet dogs throughout his life.

Jack is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Harmon of San Tan Valley Arizona, Janis Lee Harmon of Stansbury Park Utah and Nancy Chapin of Brush Prairie, Washington. Five grandsons, Cody, Nicholas, Trent Ottley, Michael and Cory Chapin. One granddaughter, Alyssa Chapin. Six great grandchildren, Nicole, Cyris, Chole, Vivian, Brighton and Devin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street in Orem, with a viewing for family and friends held that morning from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wallsburg Cemetery 300 North 100 East, Wallsburg, UT 84082.
