Irvin Wilkinson

Irvin "Ike" (Milo) Goodrich Wilkinson, a resident of Orem, passed away peacefully December 15, 2014. He was born May 25, 1924 in New Haven, Connecticut. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945 and was a World War II Veteran. He and Doris Hamann married 24 October 1945. Upon leaving the service, he moved to Orem, Utah to work for Geneva Steel. He worked in trucking/transportation industry (Savage Brothers) for more than 15 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Belva Wilkinson; two sons, Kenneth J. and William E. (Betty); two stepsons Gaylan and Mark Sorenson, one stepdaughter, Lin Sorenson; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Doris; two brothers, Arthur and Lewis; and great grandson Jared Michael. The funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2014, 11:00 AM, Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2014 and also from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the same location. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Post #72. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Primary Children's Hospital.
