Colleen Noel Mares-Hunsaker, 35, returned to her Heavenly home on October 7, 2015. Her love and kindness towards others and firm belief in God helped to lift her and support her family during and following her departure. Colleen was born to Patrick R. Mares and Jennice L. Sly in Hemet, CA on November 28, 1979. She was an advocate of Behavioral Health education and had the opportunity to provide comfort to many through unconditional love, forgiveness, and hope throughout her life. Colleen was blessed with two beautiful children. Together, they created cherished memories that will continue to bring them a lifetime of smiles and solace. A few of her favorite pastimes with her children were Saturday morning donuts, fishing and other outdoor activities, and getting silly while breaking out the board games. Colleen is survived by her son, Jacob, and daughter, Jamie. She is also survived by her sister, Taunya; her brothers, Matt, Aaron, Diego, and Joaquin; her parents, Pat, Catalina and Jenny; and her Nana, Helen. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Horace Mares, and Joe and Bernice Sly. Colleen will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is now at peace with her departed grandparents and creator. Colleen's service will be held on October 24th at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home at 1:00pm, with a burial to follow at the Springville, UT Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will be held in her honor after the graveside services. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Colleen's life. Her family would like to thank their friends and loved ones for their incredible efforts, continuing prayers, and overwhelming love and kindness.
